For me, being alone is a double-edged sword. I'm a very introverted person so I recharge when I'm alone. I can fully relax when hidden from the rest of the world.

Left alone too long, however, the ache for human interaction can become unbearable. Sometimes I can easily leave the safety of my room and seek out this companionship.

Other times a fierce anxiety will keep me locked inside. It was during those times of fear and anxiety that Coping Mechanism came into existence.

When I struggle with a deep loneliness and sadness, sometimes the only thing that gets me through it is creating music. My coping mechanism.

Each track on this album is an expression of the different aspects of being alone. Not just the negative aspects like the fear, the isolation, the despair, but the odd comfort and the peace as well.

Coping Mechanism is dedicated to those struggling with the darker side of solitude.

I truly hope you can give these tunes a listen and know that you are not alone.

Basically every song on this album has a structure similar to those on progressive metal albums. You never know what to expect and how the song will shift in the next few seconds. That makes listening to it very interesting. Also, this is probably my favorite sound Glitch Black has used so far. Hard to pick a favorite song though, had to decide between Starcatcher and Forever War. FLESH MECHANIC
